RESIDENTS URGED TO KEEP TREES TRIMMED FOR SAFETY
Trees and other vegetation can experience significant growth spurts caused by heavy rains received during our Monsoon storms. Residents are urged to remove or trim any vegetation on their property that could cause problems for pedestrians or vehicles. Here are areas to inspect for hazards:
** Places where vehicles enter or exit roadways or make left turns
** Areas near traffic control devices such as STOP, speed limit and advance warning signs and traffic signals
** Near sidewalks and bike lanes
When vegetation in public or common areas is creating sight or access problems, residents are urged to call the city's main information number at (480) 312-3111 or use an online tool available called "Report a problem & Service request" at http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/ServiceRequest/default.asp"
This simple to use form can be used to report other areas of concern such as potholes, street maintenance, code and zoning violations, and more.

The West Nile virus is a mosquito-born ailment that poses a serious health threat to Valley residents this summer.
The best way to control the West Nile Virus is to prevent mosquito breeding. Residents are asked to clear debris from curbs and roadside ditches, eliminate pools of stagnant water and make sure pools and fountains are operating effectively.
To assist in mosquito control, the Maricopa County Health Department is conducting ground-fogging operations in many Valley communities, including Scottsdale.

Starting and ending times vary throughout the year. MONSOON IS HERE - AND SO ARE FLASH FLOOD RISKS
