Collaboration between HMSHost and the Golf Digest Companies Brings Golf Excitement and Clubhouse-Type Ambiance to Airport Dining

HMSHost and The Golf Digest Companies announce the opening of "The Clubhouse" today at the new S2 concourse at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. "The Clubhouse," a first-of-its-kind dining experience, celebrates the richness and history of golf in a lively, casual atmosphere where travelers can enjoy a fine meal and revel in their passion for the sport.

The golf-themed restaurant is a collaboration between HMSHost, one of the world's leading developers of airport restaurants, the Golf Digest Companies, the world's largest golf publishing company and Dewar's, makers of the world's finest Scotch whiskies. Featuring large murals of fairways and greens from local golf clubs and imagery originating in the pages of Golf Digest, the restaurant decor creates a true clubhouse atmosphere. Guests will have an opportunity to catch up on the latest tour news, equipment advances and all things golf from a variety of Golf Digest Companies publications, including Golf Digest, Golf For Women and Golf World.

Patrons can also view some of the best highlights from golf's premier events as well as live broadcasts from ongoing tournaments via video screens located throughout the restaurant. Even the most ardent golf enthusiasts will be able to get their "fix" at any time of day.

"The Clubhouse" menu will feature a wide array of distinctive salads, sandwiches and cocktail offerings. Additionally, specialty cocktails featuring Dewar's White Label, Dewar's 12, and Dewar's Signature will headline a full bar service.

"We are extremely proud of 'The Clubhouse' concept," said John J. McCarthy, President and CEO of HMSHost. "Our company is always looking to introduce new and exciting experiences to the airport environment and 'The Clubhouse' certainly fits the bill. Working with Golf Digest and Dewar's has been an outstanding experience. Both organizations bring a tremendous amount to the table," Mr. McCarthy said. "No one knows the game of golf like Golf Digest and Dewar's image of sophistication and fun will be extremely popular with travelers."

"'The Clubhouse' provides the Golf Digest Companies with an excellent opportunity to share our passion, enthusiasm and coverage of the sport in a truly original way," said its President and CEO, Mitchell B. Fox. "In collaborating with our partners on the various elements of the restaurant, we have created a respite for golf-lovers from the bustle of airport travel. We look forward to 'The Clubhouse' becoming a frequent destination for all patrons passing through Sky Harbor."
