Ballet Arizona set to perform works from Sinatra to Stravinsky during
free lakeside performance

TEMPE, Ariz. - Ballet Arizona, the state's resident professional ballet
company, returns to Tempe for "Ballet Under the Stars" at 7:30 p.m. on
Friday at Kiwanis Park on the west side of the lake.

Patrons attending this free event are asked to enter the parking lot
from the south side of Baseline Road, west of Mill Avenue and east of
Kyrene Road.

Program:

"2 B"
Choreography and costumes by Ib Anderson; music by Francis Poulenc,
"Concerto in D Minor for Two Pianos."

"Ave Maria"
Choreography by Dwight Rhoden; music - Traditional; costumes by Lamour.

"Sinatra Suite"
Excerpts of songs sung by Frank Sinatra

"AGON"
Excerpts; choreography by George Balanchine; music by Igor Stravinsky.

"Ballet Under the Stars," presented by Wal-Mart, features open lawn
seating. Guests are encouraged to bring picnic dinners and lawn chairs
or blankets for the lakeside performance as Ballet Arizona celebrates
its 20th season of classical and contemporary dance. The evening of
dance opens following sunset.
